Osaka Castle Tower
Rising like a golden crown above the city, Osaka Castle Tower is the monument to Toyotomi Hideyoshi's audacious dream of unifying Japan. The original 1583 castle was built with stones so massive they had to be moved by thousands of workers. Though reconstructed in 1931, the tower retains its commanding presence — a white-and-gold fortress that has witnessed sieges, fires, and the rebirth of a city that refuses to be conquered.
